Our Darija Ognjenović and Marijanti Babić attended a joint seminar held at the Hotel Excelsior, Dubrovnik on June 3-5.

The conference titled “European Union – Opportunities and Challenges” was organized by one of the members of our Lawyers & Friends network Messrs Babić & Partners from Zagreb in Croatia, together with the Croatian Bar Association and The Law Society of England and Wales.

Amongst others, Presidents of the Law Society of England and Wales and the Croatian Bar Association, as well as our colleagues from some of the most prominent law firms (Baker & McKenzie, Beachcroft LLP, Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, McDermott Will & Emery/Stanbrook, Allen & Overy) were also present.

Some of the topics discussed at the conference are as follows: Overview of EC Law and Institutions; Interpretation, Scope and Reach of EC law; EC Law – A View from the Courts; Introduction to EU Civil Justice; The role of lawyers and impact of EC law on the profession.
