This international conference is organized annually in memory of the late Professor Vedran Šoljan (1962-2008), one of Croatia’s pioneers in the field of competition law. This year’s topics included e-commerce and vertical restraints, reform of horizontal guidelines, the Digital Markets Act and e-platforms, right of defence and competition law, challenges to competition law enforcement in CEE and SEE countries, and a panel on recent competition law developments in the CEE/SEE region.
The conference traditionally offers a platform for discussion about recent antitrust developments, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and South-East Europe (SEE).
Darija participated as one of the speakers in the panel discussion entitled “Competition law systems in Central and Eastern Europe: a bottom-up approach”. In her presentation “Competition law system in Serbia – ups and downs” Darija addressed the topics of lack of detailed regulation, specifics of merger control system and dawn raids.
As in previous years, the conference brought together a large number of distinguished competition law experts. The conference’s official website with the programme is available on the following link.
