Our arbitration and litigation practice has a strong reputation for effective dispute resolution. As well as acting on behalf of clients before commercial and regular courts in Serbia our highly skilled litigation lawyers also handle international and cross-border cases.

We have successfully represented our clients in arbitrations before main international and domestic arbitration institutions and ad hoc arbitrations, such as:

  • International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Uniworld Holding, U.S.A. vs. Privatization Agency, et al. (acting on behalf of the Plaintiff); Com. Int., Italy vs. European Agency for Reconstruction (representing the Defendant); Duferco, Italy vs. Bank of Austria (assisting the Plaintiff); ICN Pharmaceuticals, U.S.A. vs. the Health Fund of Serbia (representing the Defendant)
  • London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) in Trafigura, Holland vs. Zorka Holding of Serbia (appearing on behalf of the Plaintiff)
  • Ad hoc tribunals under UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) rules where we are representing a client in the most important arbitration for Serbia and the only arbitration based on Bilateral Treaty on the Protection of Investments
  • Permanent Arbitration Court of Serbian Chamber of Commerce where we represented Shell Belgrade, a member of the Shell Group

Besides the arbitrations we also represent clients in disputes before the local commercial courts. In one of the major cases before the Commercial Court of Belgrade we successfully represented ImageSat of Israel in a matter against the Republic of Serbia. We are currently engaged in a number of disputes before this authority.

Our partners Danica Gligorijević, Ana Čalić Turudija and Darija Ognjenović have been elected as Arbitrators of the Permanent Arbitration Court of Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

We contributed the brochure on arbitration costs in Central and Eastern Europe published by Freshfields Bruckhaus and Deringer, an internationally renowned law firm with whom we have permanent cooperation. Our firm also contributed the Survey on Cross Border Investment Arbitration for the World Bank.
